1. Scope
This policy applies to all paid advertising services offered by PalakkadNews.com (operated by dotcompals), including website banner ads, social media posts, sponsored articles, business directory listings, and bundled packages across our network of websites and social media platforms.
2. Cancellation Before Ad Goes Live
If you wish to cancel your booking before your advertisement has been published:
- Cancelled within 24 hours of payment: 90% refund. A 10% processing fee is retained to cover payment gateway charges.
- Cancelled 24 hours to 72 hours after payment: 75% refund.
- Cancelled more than 72 hours after payment but before go-live: 50% refund.

3. No Refund After Ad Goes Live
Once your advertisement has been published on any of our platforms (website, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, or Twitter/X), no refund will be issued for that portion of the campaign. This is because:
- The ad space has been allocated and is actively serving
- The audience has already been exposed to your advertisement
- Content creation, design, or publishing work has been completed
If you are unhappy with the performance of your ad, please contact us — we may be able to offer a complimentary campaign adjustment or extended run at our discretion.
4. Partial Refunds for Multi-Month Bookings
For advertisers who have booked campaigns for 3 months or 6 months:
- Refunds are only available for the unused future months of the campaign, not for months already completed
- To request an early termination refund, give us at least 7 days written notice before the next billing month begins
- Discount benefits (10% for 3 months, 20% for 6 months) may be reversed if the booking is terminated early, and the refund will be calculated at the standard monthly rate
5. Technical Failures and Our Errors
If an advertisement fails to go live due to a technical error on our side, or is incorrectly published (wrong dates, wrong platform, wrong creative), we will:
- Correct the error and extend your campaign duration at no charge, or
- Issue a full refund for the affected portion of the campaign
Please report any such issues within 48 hours of the scheduled go-live date.
6. Refund for Failed Payments
If your payment fails (card decline, UPI timeout, net banking error) but an amount is still deducted from your account, the funds will be automatically reversed by Razorpay or your bank within 5-7 business days. If you do not receive a reversal within this period, contact:

7. Refund Process
Approved refunds are processed as follows:
- Razorpay payments: Refunded to the original payment source (card, bank account, or UPI) within 5-7 business days
- UPI payments: Refunded to the originating UPI ID within 3-5 business days
- You will receive a confirmation message once the refund is initiated
- Bank processing times are beyond our control and may add additional days
8. Non-Refundable Items
The following are strictly non-refundable under any circumstances:
- Payment gateway transaction charges (typically 2% retained by Razorpay)
- Custom graphic design or content creation fees once work has been completed and delivered
- Sponsored articles that have already been published (even if you request removal later)
- Campaigns that have been running for the full agreed duration
9. Disputes
If you believe a refund has been incorrectly denied, please email us at [email protected] with full details of your booking, payment reference, and the reason for your dispute. We will respond within 3 business days. If the dispute remains unresolved, it shall be handled under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Palakkad, Kerala.
