Climatic and Biogeographic Influence<\/h3>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">While fundamentally a geological feature, the Palakkad Gap has profound non-geological effects, making it an ecological and climatic anomaly.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>&#8220;Wind Tunnel&#8221; Effect:<\/strong> It is the largest break in the entire 1,500 km length of the Western Ghats.
